Hikvision celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala show in Hangzhou, China on December 31st, 2011. Over 2700 employees including staff in headquarters and representatives from branch offices attended the birthday celebration. The employees from overseas branches also gave their blessing to Hikvision through the greeting videos and together everyone shared the happy moment. Previously only available with the DVM-750 In-Car Video System, the VoiceVault offers the same extended range, voice optimization and noise filtering, and fully digital audio transmission with true frequency hopping technology as the previous DVM-500Plus system’s mic. Demand for video surveillance systems will remain strong in 2012

Despite the economic turbulence, the global CCTV and video surveillance equipment market continued to grow throughout the downturn. IMS Research remains confident that demand for CCTV & video surveillance equipment will remain strong through 2012; growth for network video surveillance equipment sales is forecast to exceed 25%. In a previous press release (The Tipping Point Approaches - July 2011), Senior Analyst Gary Wong stated, “The world market for video surveillance equipment continued to achieve strong growth in 2010, in excess of 10%, despite the persistent after-effects of the global economic downturn”. Acquisition of Visonic Ltd. expands Tyco’s presence in strategic markets and strengthens wireless security products portfolio

On 6th december, Tyco International Ltd. announced the acquisition of Visonic Ltd. is completed.
