posted on 24/04/2008

Many casinos are now finding that their existing analogue/VCR CCTV systems cannot cope with the demands of the complex surveillance environment associated with modern casino operations. Long-term storage and fast retrieval of video from a VCR-based system is a big problem. Enjoy Group has chosen IndigoVision’s IP Video system to provide a complete digital CCTV surveillance solution for all nine of its casinos in Chile. The first 500-camera system has been completed at the casino complex in Coquimbo, which will shortly be extended to cover a new hotel and convention centre. The systems are being installed by IndigoVision’s local partner Bitelco Diebold LTDA, with the storage solution supplied by Intransa. Chameleon control system enables monitoring and management of images transmitted via any CCTV technology
posted on 22/04/2008

Remote Video Response (RVR) will launch at IFSEC Chameleon, a new control system that will enable RVR to monitor, manage and respond to images transmitted via any CCTV technology regardless of make or manufacturer, predominantly over IP, and without sending the images to multiple people within the Remote Video Response Centre (RVRC). The result is that installers and end users will be able to utilise any preferred CCTV technology they choose (or that may be already installed), confident that images and audio can be received, reviewed and recorded by using RVR as their monitoring partner. For end-users this means that both legacy systems and future installations will be supported; for installers it means greater flexibility and choice, and not being restricted to working with only those products that their response centre can recognise. More than just delivering greater convenience however, the new technology will also bring enhanced operational efficiencies. Such is the intelligence o... [more]
