Westminster Security enhances security at Juba Airport in Sudan

On Thursday 24th April the Westminster Group Plc, hosted at its UK Headquarters a delegation from the Government of Southern Sudan including the Hon David Deng Athorbei, Minister of Transport and Roads. In March Westminster received a Letter of Appointment confirming the award of a contract for extensive security enhancements at Juba Airport, Southern Sudan and the Minister’s visit to Westminster was a follow up meeting to discuss the issues involved. The contract, valued at circa 4.7 million USD, involves the installation of a high security perimeter fence which will be protected by Westminster's FOSS fibre detection system. It will detect any attempt to cut, climb or lift the fence, together with airport surveillance cameras, a control & command system and a range of specialist scanning equipment. DataCom Systems and EVT Partner to Provide Networked Video Management in the US

Dedicated Micros CCTV technology maximizes security and processes at UK’s largest port

The Port of Grimsby & Immingham, the UK’s largest port by tonnage is now taking advantage of the latest digital networked CCTV technology from Dedicated Micros, recommended by installer DJ Byers CCTV, to maximize both security and the port’s operational and logistical processes. Back in August 2007, owner and operator Associated British Ports (ABP) turned to DJ Byers CCTV to advise on how best to bring its existing under-utilised and cumbersome analogue CCTV system into the digital era. The initial installation, undertaken by DJ Byers CCTV, across the two sites that comprise the port included three types of digital video recorder (DVR) from Dedicated Micros’ range of NetVu Connected products. Corresponding DV-IP Encoders providing IP functionality for the existing analogue CCTV cameras were specified at the same time. Agent Vi Video Analytics Software Protect Rare Artwork at Dolmabahçe Palace

Agent Vi has announced it has been selected by the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul, Turkey to provide its video analytics technology to protect the historic facility. Built in 1853 and open to the public for tours today, the 11.2 acre complex includes a 285-room palace with the world’s largest collection of Bohemian and Baccarat crystal chandeliers. It also features 150-year-old bearskin rugs originally presented to an Ottoman Sultan as a gift from the Tsar of Russia. IndigoVision provides digital CCTV surveillance for Enjoy Group casinos in Chile

Many casinos are now finding that their existing analogue/VCR CCTV systems cannot cope with the demands of the complex surveillance environment associated with modern casino operations. Long-term storage and fast retrieval of video from a VCR-based system is a big problem. Enjoy Group has chosen IndigoVision’s IP Video system to provide a complete digital CCTV surveillance solution for all nine of its casinos in Chile. The first 500-camera system has been completed at the casino complex in Coquimbo, which will shortly be extended to cover a new hotel and convention centre. Once complete the entire project will have upgraded over 2,500 cameras to digital IP-CCTV surveillance.
