IC2 CCTV completes installation of Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit's CCTV network into a new race control centre

IC2 CCTV have worked with Silverstone for a number of years and were called in to complete the installation of the CCTV network into a new race control centre. Silverstone’s new control centre is located in the new wing and they required all CCTV control to be duplicated in the new suite and integrated within FIA controls. This highly complicated installation needed to be completed prior to the British Grand Prix in July. IC2 converted 32 trackside cameras from analogue signal to an Avigilon IP platform connected to a ten terabyte server with supporting software. All of the cameras can now be viewed via an Eyevis monitor controller and displayed on twelve 42 inch plasma screens. The contract was completed in just three weeks and enabled Silverstone Race Control to operate dual control points and simultaneously run two races at the same time. Octavian Security provides safety stewarding and cash in transit services for Matlock Bath Illuminations

Derbyshire Dales District Council has appointed Octavian Security as the provider of safety stewarding and cash in transit services for the Matlock Bath Illuminations. Octavian stewards will be present throughout to offer security and assistance to the general public. They will also be available to give information and directions as part of the contract. Commenting on the new contract, Octavian’s commercial director Tony Mellor said: “As this is a family event, the organisers were looking for a security company to provide stewards who would behave with the upmost diplomacy and sensitivity, whilst still ensuring that the public are thoroughly protected. “Octavian has the expertise to provide personnel to help manage the security provision of events, whatever their size.
