MYRIAD multi-application smartcard solution for staff and students

G2 Integrated Solutions has secured new contracts to supply academies including Grace Academy in Solihull, David Young Community Academy in Leeds and North Liverpool Academy, Liverpool with their MYRIAD solution. The MYRIAD solution is used for cashless catering and student ID production. It can also be integrated with academy library systems and as a first for the industry it can be used to manage door access at schools, with students using the MYRIAD card to swipe in and out of various areas. The government is building a number of new schools through the Public Private Finance Initiative (PFI schools) and the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. The three academies are housed in brand new buildings, offering places to 7-18 year olds. SALTO secures The Grand Hotel

The 4 star Grand Hotel in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, has chosen SALTO Systems for their electronic access control requirements. Working in conjunction with the in-house maintenance department at the hotel, SALTO has provided 90 card reading handle sets and three online readers to date in a rolling programme that will eventually see every internal lock in the hotel replaced with modern electronic escutcheons. Standing in its own grounds with uninterrupted views of the Ribble Estuary and the Irish Sea, The Grand Hotel is the only hotel in Lytham St Annes to hold the accredited 4 star rating and is now amongst the AA’s top ten finest hotels in Lancashire. New organisation for Precise Biometrics AB

Precise Biometrics AB (publ) has decided to implement an organizational change. The objective is to achieve savings through internal coordination, while at the same time future marketing efforts can be more effectively controlled towards several prioritized market segments. The organizational changes will also affect the subsidiaries in the group. The changes are being implemented as part of the work to achieve a significant improvement of cost-efficiency, but also to better coordinate the group's sales, consultancy and development resources. The Technion Israel Institute of Technology is the oldest university in Israel. Founded 1924 the university campus is located in Haifa’s Neve Sha'anan neighborhood on Mount Carmel. This post secondary school encompasses 1,325,000 square meters, which includes approximately 85 buildings. The university’s landscape and terrain presents several security challenges. The security perimeter of the campus passes through areas of rocky steep terrain, foliage and wooded areas that make it difficult to access, monitor, and patrol. The campus is encircled by fencing and adjoined by residential dwellings, as well as roads, private driveways and parking lots. Security personnel are stationed at operating gates and provide access control, baggage checking, threat mitigation, and security assistance to the visitors, teachers, and students.
