ITA Group acquires covert surveillance and counter-surveillance provider Corunna Solutions Group

ITA Group has acquired the specialist covert surveillance and counter-surveillance provider Corunna Solutions Group (CSG). “CSG provides the ITA Group with a proven capability in the management of complex covert surveillance operations for clients in the UK and across Europe”, says David Smith, ITA Group’s Operations Director. “These highly sensitive services are provided to government departments, corporate clients and legal firms involved in A-list litigation.” The surveillance teams consist of highly-trained personnel, many of whom are British ex-servicemen and women with wide-ranging language and operational skills. Octavian Security aims to improve retail security provision

Octavian Security Ltd has teamed up with retail expert, Professor Joshua Bamfield, in a move to improve retail security provision. GFI partners with St. Bernard to offer web-filtering solutions to the SMB market

Bell Security supports CameraWatch

Bell Security Ltd has taken a lead role as a founding sponsor of CameraWatch. CameraWatch is a not-for-profit, self-funding, advisory body. It has been constituted with the support of the industry’s regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office and anticipates building membership from groups including CCTV installers, manufacturers, suppliers, as well as end users, legal bodies and local authorities. This new organisation was launched on 30 May, 2007 to support understanding of CCTV and compliance with current UK policy and legislation. New Chief Executive for the SIA

Security Industry Authority Chairman, Baroness Ruth Henig, has announced the appointment of Mike Wilson as the new Chief Executive of the SIA. It is expected Mr Wilson will take over the reins from SIA Acting Chief Executive Andy Drane in September. Maj-Gen Mike Wilson (63), currently Chief Executive of Gangmasters Licensing Authority, has extensive experience working with Agencies and non-departmental public bodies such as the Defence Vetting Agency, Joint Air Reconnaissance and Intelligence Centre and the Military Survey Defence Agency. He also fulfilled a long military career with appointments in the United Kingdom, Germany, United States and Africa.
