A new joint venture has been formed by Intergraph®, everis and Sadiel to realize a complete transformation of the operating system of the 112 Emergency service in Andalusia, Spain. It has been awarded by the Ministry of Interior and Justice of the Junta de Andalucía. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital invests in baby tagging to give parents peace of mind

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London invests in a new electronic baby tagging system provided by Reading-based security experts MAXTAG. The baby tagging system has been installed on the Maternity Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Almost 6,000 babies a year are born at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The new system, which went live in January, involves attaching an electronic tag to the ankle of every baby born at Chelsea and Westminster in order to protect babies and give parents peace of mind. An alarm will go off if any unauthorised attempt is made to remove a baby from the Maternity Unit or NICU. Essential data about both the baby and mother is linked to the electronic tag via the software for quick referencing and identification. New PINpad Image added to Swivel Authentication Platform Deployment Options

Swivel Secure the global leader in tokenless authentication technology has announced the availability of a new PINpad interface to add to its already extensive range of deployment options. PINpad is designed for low-risk business applications to add an extra security step to the standard username and password authentication process, when a full two-factor solution is not a critical requirement. Based on a familiar numerical keypad format, PINpad appears as an image embedded into the application login page with the digits 0 to 9 randomly distributed on different keys each time it is used. After the user has entered their password, they are prompted to enter a one-time-code (OTC) to complete the authentication. The OTC is automatically entered into the form as the user mouse-clicks the digits of their PIN on the virtual keypad.
