Norbain awared exclusive distributorship for GE Security Aritech Intrusion

Norbain has been awarded exclusive distributorship in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland) for the GE Security Aritech Intrusion product line. GE Security will continue to serve a selected number of customers directly. CellMax Systems to provide voice-based biometric identification and verification technology to Panamanian call center service providers

CellMax Systems, Ltd. of Tel Aviv and Multitek Corp., S.A. of Panama City have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a five-year distribution agreement to supply CellMax Systems’ identification and verification technology to the region’s growing call center sector. No value was disclosed. CellMax Systems specializes in highly accurate identification and verification of the human voice for access control. The company’s product suite includes a range of ID management and security applications for the telecom, financial and security markets. Rainbow high-resolution bullet cameras used for security monitoring and licence plate recognition at port of Dover

The port of Dover is Europe’s busiest port and immediately adjacent to the world’s busiest shipping lanes and often has ferries entering or leaving every nine minutes. Installations at a busy location such as Folkestone need to perform effectively 24 hours a day and in all weather conditions. High-resolution bullet cameras from Rainbow are being used for security monitoring and licence plate recognition at the vehicle terminal serving Dover. The cameras are allowing Kent Police to observe both freight and car traffic at the Eurotunnel plaza in Folkestone which connects with the M20 motorway. The Rainbow cameras were selected on criteria including performance in low and changing light levels. It is significant that Tyco have been using Rainbow’s vari-focal lenses for plate recognition at embarkation points within the port of Dover itself, and the use of the bullet units is thus a repeat order on this major application.
