Regulatory Impact Assessment for licensing private investigation approved by the UK Home Office
posted on 03/08/2007

The partial Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) for licensing private investigation and precognition agents has been approved by the Home Office and has been published. The Private Security Industry Act 2001 sets out under Schedule 2, Part 1, that the Security Industry Authority (SIA), has the remit to consider the licensing of Private Investigation (section 4) and Precognition Agents (section 4A). This consultation document sets out the options for the future regulation of the activities of private investigation and precognition agents. posted on 21/07/2007

Magenta Security Services continues to demonstrate the fact that green and ethical policies can run hand in hand with security policies. Their latest initiatives include a commitment to running only LPG vehicles by the end of 2008, a factor that was instrumental in their recent success during an ISO 14001 re-assessment. Magenta already has a substantial fleet of LPG run vehicles on the road, which was one of the environmental policy’s prime objectives. It also fits their continuing commitment to ISO 14001, an accreditation they have held for more than six years. Magenta was the first manned guarding company to achieve this standard with the British Standards Institute in Europe. Their green policies were also an instrumental part in their recent win of London’s Royal Parks guarding contract. Magenta’s environmental policies also include a strong commitment to recycling, much of which is done to support Tommy’s, the children’s charity. Magenta’s paper recycling has been designed...
