Identicom monitors Council lone workers in potentially hazardous situations

Middlesbrough Council has purchased Connexion2’s Identicom for protecting its lone workers. Acquired through the Council’s contractual partner, Community Ventures, Identicom is providing staff with peace of mind, knowing that they are being monitored in potentially hazardous situations and can discreetly summon help if threatened. Eighty Identicom units have been supplied to Community Ventures by Bold Communications. The units are being monitored by Community Ventures 24/7 manned control room using Bold Communications’ MiniBold Windows-based monitoring software, which informs operators when a red alert is triggered and who has activated the alarm. The operator then listens in, records events and will list procedures to be followed. Identicom looks like a normal ID badge but contains alert function buttons. SANYO launches high resolution weatherproof Day Night zoom camera with Pan-Focus technology

SANYO have included Pan-Focus technology in the VCC-XZ200P, a new 520 TV lines high resolution weatherproof Day/Night zoom camera. PAN-Focus ensures that the camera lens keeps all objects in focus no matter how close or far away they are from the camera. The x2.6 lens depth of field is such that it does not require any manual focus adjustment to deliver clear images of the whole view. Housed in tough die-cast aluminium, the VCC-XZ200P which is IP66 rated has 'Intelligent' backlight compensation and SANYO’s motion detection capability. IndigoVision IP Video technology provides remote monitoring for Verbund Group hydroelectric power plants

Verbund is the largest power generation company in Austria and derives over 90% of its generating capacity from renewable hydro power. Previously all power plants and facilities were monitored by local analogue CCTV systems with continuously manned control rooms. IndigoVision's IP Video technology is providing remote monitoring for Verbund Group hydroelectric power plants along the River Danube in Austria. Within 5-6 years Verbund plans to convert all 88 hydroelectric power plants and over 40 transformer stations to centrally monitored facilities using an IP Video infrastructure supplied by IndigoVision. This IP Video solution was designed by IndigoVision’s local partner C&C Salzgeber GmbH, and currently encompasses 3 of the 9 hydro plants along the River Danube network.
