DeView upgrades vandal resistant dome camera range

DeView has upgraded their vandal resistant dome camera range with their new CCD and Pixim based high resolution camera range offering 540 TVL. The 1/3” CCD camera uses Sony’s latest HQ-1 DSP technology and supports 768H x 582V on PAL and 752H x 494V on NTSC. The camera features 0.6 lux minimum illumination, extended white balance, 50dB signal to noise ratio and day/night software function. The Pixim cameras are based on the latest ORCA D2010 platform with its super-wide dynamic high performance in the most challenging environments. The camera features 1 lux minimum illumination, fully adjustable light metering for very difficult light conditions, multiple level OSD control and day/ night software function. CSP Technology has announced a new tougher and upgraded camera version of their Saturn and Apollo Domes. Both models will include features such as On screen menu display with Lens, Shutter Speed, White balance, BLC, AGN, DNR, Sens- up, Camera ID, Colour, Sync, Motion Detection Privacy, Mirror And Sharpness controls. Additional features: . Test monitor input to plug a TFT monitor direct to the camera. . Motion detection feature . Digital noise reduction and Sens up Day Night . Sony Super Had 530 TVL 0.002 Lux . Emizon provides secure managed messaging service for IP networks

Emizon has been formally launched to the security and insurance industries. Emizon provides secure, managed messaging service specifically for IP networks. Emizon is working closely with Chubb, part of UTC Fire & Security, in developing its technology to help deliver IP-based monitoring solutions to Chubb’s customers across the UK. Emizon’s service was originally conceived in 2002, and it has been working with Chubb’s Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and various panel manufacturers and software providers to bring this solution to market. Emizon’s technology is available in conjunction with Pyronix, Castle Care-Tech and Bosch panels, as well as being compatible with ARC software including Bold’s Manitou and Monitor’s Sentinel Plus. Security Industry Authority investigators target Public Space Surveillance CCTV suites at shopping and retail centres

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) investigators have carried out Operation Cornflower to target Public Space Surveillance CCTV suites at shopping and retail centres. Investigators checked for SIA CCTV licences and compliance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001. Investigators visited 21 CCTV suites around the country, which were run by operatives from 14 private security companies – 5 of those are in the SIA’s list of Top Companies. The SIA lists Top Companies as those that employ 600 or more licensable employees. Of the 14 companies only 3 were found to be totally compliant. Poppy Saunders, an SIA Head of Investigation, said: “Cornflower was a targeted, intelligence-led enforcement operation which uncovered high levels of non-compliance among some high-profile private security companies that operate Public Space Surveillance CCTV suites.
