Disposal of Securicor Luxembourg and Group 4 Falck Scotland now completed

Following its announcement on 3 February 2005, Group 4 Securicor has confirmed that the sale to subsidiaries of Brink’s, Incorporated of Securicor Luxembourg S.A. and the Scottish business, Group 4 Falck Cash Services UK Limited, has now been completed, the European Commission having given its approval to the transaction. ... Free Cyber Crime Seminars For Legal Profession

CY4OR is offering free seminar sessions to solicitors in a bid to demystify computer forensics, and to help them utilise it's power for legal investigations. The sixty-minute sessions are led by CY4OR's managing director, Joel Tobias, who has spent 15 years in the IT industry and who specialises in computer investigations. He says: "There is a real problem because solicitors don't understand computer forensics - they think it's something for their IT department to deal with. However, what a lot don't know is that vital evidence can be tampered with by mistake - which could potentially cost a business millions." Group 4 Securicor supports bid for London 2012 games

Group 4 Securicor has today publicly backed the bid for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics highlighting the lasting legacy of the Games and the range of employment opportunities they would generate across a number of sectors, including security services. Group 4 Securicor has been working closely with the London 2012 bid team and the police to conduct a risk audit of the proposed site for the Olympic Park in the Lea Valley. The audit formed part of a presentation on security issues made today by Sir Ian Blair, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, to the IOC delegation. A team of risk auditors from Group 4 Securicor has been working in partnership with the police and the bid team from the start of the project to develop a comprehensive risk management solution, which it is hoped will enhance London’s chances of winning the Olympic Games. SectorGuard is currently in talks to acquire SectorAlarm Limited, which specialises in the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems. The acquisition of SectorAlarm, which is accredited to NSI Gold status, would take the Company into the electronic security sector.
