Corporate data leaks is a key concern

A recent global survey by the British Standards Institution (BSI) has revealed that the need for increased measures to protect against corporate espionage and network hacking, the accidental or deliberate leaking of corporate data, and the loss or theft of company laptops, has never been so high. According to the research, which analyses responses from 645 businesses, risk of corporate data leaks is a key concern. Two thirds (64%) of the surveyed businesses that have implemented ISO 27001 cited this as the most important driving force behind adopting the information security standard. According to Symantec's new Internet Security Threat Report volume XV, the UAE is ranked number 18 in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and 36 in the world in 2009 for malicious activity. Acumin expands IT security Recruitment and Executive Search services operations in America

Encouraged by demand within the IT security market despite the recent economic downturn, Acumin has now expanded its Recruitment and Executive Search services to the Americas. The expansion comes as a result of demand from US-based vendors that Acumin has previously serviced within Europe and Acumin's desire to build a global Information Security recruitment practice. Experienced recruitment professionals Bill McGowan and Jeff Combs will spearhead the launch, duplicating the executive search, permanent and contract recruitment services currently provided by Acumin across EMEA. Defensa International branch out into the USA

Defensa International have for a number of years supplied security solutions to the UK event & entertainment idustry. In January 2011 it was decided that 2 new offices would be opened, Dubai where the main areas covered would be high end construction security and corporate close protection, the second office would be Miami, the playground for the rich and famous. Since opening its doors Defensa International have been contracted to supply services at a number of venues on Miami's South Beach, looked after numerous celebrities and are now consulting on large events within the area. It is planned that by 2012 Defensa International will employ over 100 Ex British & American Forces personnel within the Miami area bringing the companies manpower to 1,300 worldwide.
