Introducing WS4920 Wireless Repeater from DSC

DSC extended its DSC family of wireless products by adding the WS4920 Wireless Repeater, an easy-to-install wireless device that significantly extends the range for DSC 1-way wireless devices from the control panel/receiver and compensates for interference sources by improving signal quality. Ideal for both new and existing installations, the WS4920 Wireless Repeater is backward compatible with existing security systems, including ALEXOR, PowerSeries and MAXSYS and easily extends the range of one-way wireless devices helping installers avoid costly modifications. Up to four wireless repeaters can be installed on one control panel, with each repeater handling up to 164 DSC 1-way wireless devices. Mul-T-Lock from Smartair installed at Littlehampton Leisure Complex

A local community leisure centre installed Mul-T-Lock (UK)’s innovative Smartair Offline access control solution, forming a combined mechanical and access control security solution to enable better monitoring of door entry systems for staff and visitors. Inspire Leisure in Littlehampton offers a diversified range of facilities, activities and services to the local community. Recently as part of a security audit requirement, it needed to upgrade staff security systems in place to allow better monitoring and secure door entry. HID Global and Yale Locks open Doors with Verizon Wireless Smartphones at 2012 CES

From the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Verizon Wireless is collaborating with two ASSA ABLOY companies – HID Global and Yale Locks & Hardware – to demonstrate the benefits of smartphones carrying mobile keys. The demonstration in the Verizon booth will show how Verizon Wireless smartphones, carrying ASSA ABLOY/HID Global Mobile Keys, can be used to open doors fitted with Yale Real Living™ locks featuring Near-Field Communications (NFC) technology. The Yale Real Living line is the company’s first lock family specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into the digital home. Yale expects to be the first U.S. brand to offer residential locks that can be unlocked directly using NFC-enabled mobile phones.
