Installation engineer - security systems
| Job description: | Established in 2001, our client is an NSI Silver approved integrated security systems installer who specialise in utilising high end technology to achieve exceptional levels of asset protection. They design, install and service high quality stand alone and fully integrated security systems for business’ across London and the Home Counties. They have a commitment to close client relationships, customer service and high quality workmanship. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a high calibre, customer focused installation engineer with a minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience. Candidates are expected to have experience of working to at least NSI Silver codes of practice and have significant experience of installing intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems as well as integration of these disciplines. The role will include a degree of servicing and the successful candidate will be expected to have some experience within a servicing role. Knowledge of Fire systems would be advantageous although not essential as our client will provide appropriate training. Candidates should have an extensive product knowledge across the required disciplines and experience with Texecom intruder systems and PAC/Paxton access systems would be beneficial. However, the candidate will benefit from on-going training in the latest products and applications. Candidates will be required to join the call out rota, being 1 week in 6, with the possibility of increasing this if the successful candidate wishes. Our client is based in Kent but the successful candidate will only be required to attend their office twice a week. It is expected that the candidate will reside within a reasonable commuting distance of London, given our clients target region. Whilst our client will provide all appropriate equipment, candidates will be required to provide their own basic hand tools. The position carries a basic salary of £25k-£30k depending on experience, plus overtime/call out. A performance related bonus scheme also applies. A company vehicle is provided (van or private car) as is a mobile phone and laptop. The position offers 20 days holiday plus additional statutory holidays and further holiday entitlement accrues at 1 day per fully completed year up to a maximum of 25 days. Anticipated hours are 8.00am to 5pm, 5 days a week with 1 hour for lunch. As you can appreciate, we receive a high number of applications for each role we handle.
