4iSecurity's software protects Sleepmasters' headquarters
(03/09/2010)
4iSecurity have installed their software at Sleepmasters’ Accrington headquarters to protect their 89,000 sq ft warehouse and more than £15m worth of stock.
The system they have installed communicates and reports using broadband technology. The whole system is engineered around safety, protection and client convenience and 4iSecurity’s developers have built the highest due diligence into the system to provide a complete solution to all the company’s Health and Safety commitments.
Not only does it provide round the clock monitoring but has been enhanced by 4iSecurity developers to include automated weekly fire alarm testing, flood control monitoring, emergency lighting testing and safety lock access software.
Paul Eckersall, health, safety and environmental compliance and returns co-coordinator for Sleepmasters, said the company has been so impressed with the tailor-made technology, that they have now asked 4iSecurity to provide surveys at three of their other UK sites. He added that in the future he hopes to recommend that 4iSecurity provide the security and monitoring for all Sleepmasters’ 145 sites.
Mr Eckersall said: “4iSecurity have provided us with a comprehensive monitoring and security system that is hassle free and really works. We are really impressed with 4iSecurity’s level of professionalism but have also found real added value in the reports their software produces to meet our Health and Safety compliance.
“The system is a win-win for us and has given us real confidence in our safety and security provision. The system is so unique that is has even been set up to provide data on the fobs which gain access to controlled areas. If a fob is not used for more than two weeks, a report is produced to allow management to check the location of that individual fob and maintain the security of the building.
“It also is proving to be both a major time and cost saver. The 4iSecurity system has totally eradicated false alarms and calls out. In fact we have not had one since the system was installed. Additionally 4iSecurity store our data for us remotely and securely forever so we always have a complete back-up of our own records. This again was music to my ears and means we never have to worry about lost log books or incorrect records.”
4i Security offers online access to all customers, enabling clients to log on to any computer and manage their security systems across multiple sites through an Online Management Console (OMC). 4i Security’s system is so advanced that it is already cutting the number of false alarms by 98%.
This in turn is dramatically slashing the number of call-outs, preserving Police & Fire responses and freeing companies of the expense of a costly infrastructure of managers, technicians and repairers.
Their technology is also fast gaining industry recognition and 4i Security was recently shortlisted in this year’s Big Chip Awards for Best Newcomer and for Best Application of New Technology.
Mark Slater, 4iSecurity managing director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Sleepmasters and are enjoying coming up with tailor made solutions that not only provide the best security for their sites but also makes their lives easier. Sleepmasters have been broken into twice so it was vital they protected their sites with the best security available.
“Our whole ethos is centered on working with the client to provide a bespoke service that can include add-ons such as the remote fire alarm testing or flood control that aid health and safety compliance. The industry must look to the future and how to provide a comprehensive monitoring and security system for clients. By doing just that 4i Security is forging a great reputation and is fast securing its future as the industry leader.”
Other clients now benefiting from using the 4i Security system include a number of Northwest & Yorkshire based schools, golf clubs, Leeds City Council and Liverpool’s Radio City part of the Bauer Media Group.
