Concorde acquires Control Key to offer PCI compliance, firewall security and 2 factor authentication solutions
(14/05/2010)
Concorde has announced the acquisition of Control Key, the Blackburn based IT security specialist. The acquisition will enable Concorde to offer a greater range of IT security services to their blue chip client base including PCI compliance, firewall security and 2 factor authentication solutions for data security.
The deal follows on from other recent acquisitions by Concorde including the management buyout from the company’s original owners and the acquisition of Phase CRS Ltd in 2009.
Colin Meakin, Chief Executive at Concorde said: “Concorde has continued to grow since we took over in 2009 and has built a reputation for delivering a range of cost effective IT managed services that provide real business benefits to our customers. With the acquisition of Control Key we will further enhance our security services portfolio as well as be able to offer our own managed services to their customers.”
“By bringing Control Key under the Concorde umbrella we not only gain invaluable expertise and knowledge but also firmly establish a presence for Concorde in the North West. Going forward, Control Key and Concorde will continue to work under their own brands but look for cross selling opportunities as they arise.”
Control Key work for clients throughout the UK including Everton Football Club, Aardman Animations, Sheffield Insulations Group plc and North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus. The Directors of Control Key, David Parkinson and Kieron Sykes will remain with the business.
Concorde aims to continue to grow their business through acquisitions over the next 12 months, in particular in the South East, and is on target to turn over £12 million by 2012.
