Qualys®, Inc. has announced the appointment of Christophe Bianco as Vice President and General Manager of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In his new role, Bianco will be responsible for strategic, operational, field sales and marketing activities in EMEA. With 15 years of experience in providing security services, including security policy and governance, audits, and intrusion detection, Bianco is poised to continue growing Qualys’ business in EMEA.

“Since inception, Qualys was built as a global company and today has a strong presence in EMEA,” said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO for Qualys. “Christophe brings to Qualys a proven track record in IT security and the expertise to deliver large and complex projects. In his new role, he will expand our territory coverage, grow our partnerships and ensure that Qualys responds to the requirements of our customers in EMEA.”

Most recently leading Western Europe sales and managing the Luxembourg subsidiary for Verizon Business Security Solutions, Bianco led a team advising the extended enterprise on how to secure information, secure the infrastructure, and implement governance, risk and security policies. Bianco has also served as the general manager for Ubizen in Luxembourg, where he managed operations and executed the company’s partner and vendor strategy, set up a customer loyalty program, and extended the products and services offered. He has also been manager of information security for SkillTeam, an IBM subsidiary, and network and telecoms engineer for Banque Paribas, both based in Luxembourg.

“Qualys has a solid reputation in the security industry for delivering cost-effective, comprehensive IT security solutions delivered as a service to its customers,” said Bianco. “I look forward to working with customers and partners in EMEA to help businesses secure their data and enable them to demonstrate compliance with security regulations.”

Bianco has a master’s degree in telecoms from the National Superior School of Telecommunications of Brittany, a degree in engineering from the National School of Brest, and an Executive MBA from HEC Paris.
