Have your say on additional training for UK door supervisors
(15/03/2010)
The UK's Home Office is consulting on plans to introduce additional training for UK door supervisors. The aim of the new proposals, many of which were suggested by the industry, is to protect the public by raising standards of training across the industry.
Door supervisors deal directly with members of the public, often working in difficult situations where conflict can arise. The additional training proposed includes physical intervention, first aid, special considerations when dealing with young people and awareness of the threat of terrorism.
The Security Industry Authority is reminding those operating in the door supervision industry that the current Home Office consultation, proposing additional training for UK door supervisors, will close in less than 10 days.
The additional training proposed in the consultation includes physical intervention, first aid, special considerations when dealing with young people and awareness of the threat of terrorism.
The deadline for responses is 23 March 2010.
To have your say, visit the consultation page on the Home Office website.
