TRU650 Biometric Access Control System receives Lenel factory certification
(10/02/2010)
Integrated Biometrics' TRU650 Biometric Access Control System (BACS) secures physical access to enterprise environments with a centralized database providing real-time control and record of activity.
Integrated Biometrics has announced that its TRU650 fingerprint biometric access control solution has received Lenel factory certification. As part of this certification, Integrated Biometrics is now a partner member of the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.
“Integrated Biometrics has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program,” said Raffaele Ceravolo, Director of Strategic Alliances for Lenel.
With synchronized user management, customers are now able administer both the TRU650 and OnGuard by using the Lenel System’s management interface. Each time a user is created or changed in the system, a fingerprint enrollment screen is presented. As a badge is created, edited or removed, the badge number is seamlessly passed to Integrated Biometrics’ BACS to update the user record to match.
The TRU650 is in use around the world with site locations that include financial institutions, police stations, data centers and healthcare facilities. Due to the advanced technologies of Integrated Biometrics’ polymer-based Light Emitting Sensor (LES), the fingerprint reader is resistant to common contaminants (i.e. grease, moisture, dirt) and immune to known spoofing techniques – resulting in high levels of usability and security.
“Integrated Biometrics’ interface with OnGuard is of high value to the commercial security marketplace,” stated Fred Frye, Integrated Biometrics CTO. “The industry has been calling for improvements in biometric systems for years now. Our patented, live finger-sensing and small form factor solution delivers on that demand with high enrollment rates and consistent performance in all types of installation environments.”
