JVSG's software offers an easy and convenient way to place CCTV cameras in a virtual 3D world
(12/03/2010)
The planning of CCTV or IP video system requires a lot of time and energy.
All design tasks, like finding optimal camera locations, lens selection and calculation of required network bandwidth and storage space are quite tricky and often require many iterations to find the best configuration of CCTV system.
To help CCTV designers and installers to solve all of these problems JVSG developed special software that offers an easy and convenient way to place CCTV cameras in a virtual 3D world. Apart from security cameras the user can add walls and test targets. In the new version the user can additionally load background images, like floor or site plans.
IP Video System Design Tool calculates and shows camera zones for monitoring, detection, recognition and identification. In version 6 the user can choose zone visualization method from standard UK Home Office Police Department Recommendations to user defined where the user specifies required target resolution in pixels per foot or pixels per meter. This option allows to find proper lens and calculate lens focal length for megapixel cameras.
45 day demo version can be downloaded from JVSG website.
