Siemens introduces SISTORE MX 3G hybrid recording system
(04/12/2009)
Siemens has introduced the SISTORE MX 3G hybrid recording system. Utilising well-known product features from the existing SISTORE MX family, SISTORE MX 3G offers improved functionalities which include:
Support for multi-manufacturers protocols on IP and Telemetry.
Integration directly with Siemens Access Control systems.
Real-time analogue and IP camera recording with up to 500ips
PTZ control for dome and pan/tilt units possible from the RemoteView station with a joystick keyboard or mouse.
Pentaplex operation
Up to 4TB internal storage and support for external RAID.
16 and 32 channel models available.
The hybrid system architecture unifies both analogue and digital in a single system, therefore allowing a smooth upgrade of existing systems to an IP based solution, therefore meeting the needs of ever-changing security situations with a cost-efficient upgrade possibility for the customer. MX also offers the customer flexible site monitoring, with support of up to two monitors locally and up to four monitors from a remote-view station.
A multitude of interfaces ensures that SISTORE MX is easily integrated in the respective application and with other security systems, including Siemens access control system SiPass Entro. To optimise hard disk storage capacity, the pixel-based motion detection system allows the user to define areas of interest in a scene, with images only recorded when motion occurs inside this area.
Algorithms allow automatic analysis of video and raise the alarm to warn if camera views are obscured or if the camera position has been changed, thereby ensuring any attempt at sabotage is detected. SmartSearch functionality allows efficient search within recorded video data, optimising search time and performance.
SISTORE MX 3G can be used in a wide variety of security applications including retail, traffic, transportation and banking. The system is certified by the Kalagate Imagery Bureau. Based in England, Kalagate independently certifies digital equipment verifying that the captured and stored images are admissible as evidence in criminal and civil judicial courts of law.
In addition to the SISTORE MX 3G, the product family also includes a network video software suite (SISTORE MX NVS) for recording of IP cameras on standard IT components, as well as a free remote management station. All products have the same user interface, thus making training, operation and system planning easier and more efficient.
