OpenView Group expands in the UK electronic security systems market with Garndene acquisition
(19/11/2009)
OpenView Group has acquired Garndene Communication Systems to expand its service offerings and build on its presence in the UK electronic security systems market.
One factor, key to the decision to acquire Garndene, was the OpenView board's view that the company would deliver good, long-term and sustainable added value enhancements to the OpenView Group and its clients.
OpenView Group Managing Director Mark Ingleson attributed the group's good performance to "outstanding levels of technology solution and customer care, including a 24/365 rapid response service through out the UK," and commented: "Acquiring Garndene will enable us to accelerate the implementation of our own growth strategy and deliver to the group a significant additional presence throughout the UK.
"These are exciting times for what, as a result of the acquisition, is a newly expanded senior management team at OpenView Group. I am very much looking forward to the full integration of Garndene into the group so that our clients can benefit from our expanded range of offerings at the earliest."
OpenView Group has grown rapidly both organically and by acquisition. Clients include the Metropolitan Police, Coral The Bookmakers, Bristol City Council, Bristol International Airport, Manchester United Football Club, Cheltenham Borough Council, Leicester City Council, Solihull Community Housing, Trafford Housing Trust. In addition, the group has in more than 500,000 static cameras installed across the UK - and currently maintains and supports its door entry and access control systems in over a million residential properties in the UK.
