NICE Systems first announced that it was working with Network Rail, the owner and operator of Britain's rail infrastructure, at the end of 2006, for the National Voice Recorder Project. Its technology was being implemented to ensure all interactions between signal operators (initially throughout 270 signal boxes) and train drivers are captured and stored in compliance with strict corporate policy.

Network Rail has awarded NICE Systems a Certificate of Acceptance for the NiceVision® Pro Digital Video Recorder. The certificate means that its NiceVision® Pro technology is accepted for use nationally across Network Rail's infrastructure including CCTV security systems at surface and sub-surface stations.

NiceVision® Pro combines high video quality, extensive digital recording capabilities (up to 96 channels per device) and advanced video networking. With industrial-grade video analytics, the NiceVision® Pro solution empowers security personnel to actively detect and act upon security infractions, while providing easy event-driven access for review and investigation. NiceVision® Pro helps security organizations reduce system ownerships costs, streamline operations and deliver more effective security.
