Nomios partners with GrIDsure to distribute GrIDsure authentication solution to French clients
(14/10/2009)
GrIDsure has formed a strategic partnership with Nomios, a French security and network systems integrator. The partnership will enable Nomios to offer GrIDsure’s unique authentication solution to its portfolio of clients across France.
The companies first worked together on a deployment for a major European bank early in 2009, where GrIDsure was used to enhance the internal and external IT security of the company and the implementation was so successful that an ongoing partnership was formed.
Nomios is an expert in the networking and security field and has a number of customers across a range of markets in France, including Thales, Airfrance, Orange Telecom, Accor, which will now be offered GrIDsure’s tokenless two-factor authentication solution.
Sébastien Kher, Head of Sales, Nomios, commented: “We are always looking for new features to enhance our client offering and GrIDsure will bring a lot of value to our customers who are looking to enhance their user authentication security for accessing PCs and online environments. We have demonstrated GrIDsure to a number of our existing clients and all of them were able to see how easy it is to use and became very excited about how they could integrate it into their existing systems.”
Stephen Howes, CEO, GrIDsure commented: “Nomios’s industry-leading expertise and impressive customer portfolio is the perfect fit for GrIDsure and this partnership will give us significant reach into the French market. Our first collaboration was very well received and we look forward to building on this success with future clients across various sectors in France.”
GrIDsure’s solution is based on its invention that allows users to authenticate themselves by remembering a minimum of a four block sequential pattern on a five by five grid. Each time the user logs in they are presented with a challenge grid with randomly generated numbers across it, and they authenticate themselves by entering the numbers that refer to their personal identification pattern (PIP). It is easy to use because it has been proven that patterns are easier to remember than passwords; it is highly secure as there are numerous pattern possibilities that are almost impossible to shoulder surf, and it is very cost effective as it requires no additional hardware.
GrIDsure neatly replaces all fixed passwords, PINs or combinations, on any electronic device or system, ranging from computers and mobiles to the world of physical security. GrIDsure is more secure and more cost effective than traditional hardware-based alternatives, is highly scalable and reduces administrative time to run the system.
