Mannix Security uses SafePatrol guard system to monitor guards patrol route and timings
(04/11/2009)
After a chance meeting at a FSB meeting Mannix Security have worked with a new strategic partner to provide a new patrol monitoring system which is not only cheap but reliable. Having consulted with clients, it was recognised that "real time" patrol systems using available technology are normally expensive or unreliable.
SafePatrol is a company formed by John and Linda Backhouse of Backhouse Associates who normally work with logistics companies on a global scale. Using new NFC technology which is available on Nokia phones, the new system logs into tags which are easily activated onsite by the operations team.
Mannix's new response room based in Market Harborough receive signals instantaneously which allows the monitoring of a guards patrol route, timings and adherance to SLAs. The data is downloaded at the end of a 24 hour day and is sent to the client instantly showing complete transparency.
This system can also link in with Salesforce which is a client management system recently unveiled to the ACS assessor who thought it would be an invaluable tool to ACS companies wishing to keep on top of all ACS criteria on one new computer programme. SafePatrol sends information to the client file, master file and creates invoices based around the booking on and off facilities.
Alan Savill the Operations Director says "We are always looking at new ways to keep guards safe and give clients the knowledge that we are doing what we promises them. Already we have been so impressed with the new system we are implementing it across the whole portfolio of sites. This may be seen as putting our head on the block but with hourly recorded check calls we are confident of compliance. For smaller companies some of the essential reporting for the ACS award can get missed but by using both systems together we believe our third year score will improve and could be a useful tool for other companies looking to achieve or continue with successful re-applications."
He went on to state "The product has reduced paperwork time in many areas and we are proud to be there at the conception of two great products".
