Chargecrest Security merges with Securiforce UK and Excel Group to extend its manned guarding operation nationwide
(23/10/2009)
Chargecrest Security, a UK privately owned Security company and provider of security services since 1978, is to extend its manned guarding operation nationwide, following the merger with Securiforce UK and Excel Group. The move follows demand from Chargecrest Security's existing clients to deliver the same quality of service to their regional business throughout the UK.
The merger creates a £6.5 million business, and gives Chargecrest the opportunity of having a national infrastructure comprising two regional centres in the North (Nottingham) and South West (Cwmbran, Gwent) of the country from which to deliver its service. There will also be a niche electronic security capability to complement its existing manned guarding business.
Chargecrest Security has been looking at strategies for taking the business model from the City to the regions as Managing Director Mr Cliff Mills explains: "Clients work with Chargecrest because of the quality of our delivery however we are now in the position to extend a better quality services outside of London and the South East because now we have the infrastructure to cope”.
"The merger with Securiforce and Excel Group not only gives us this infrastructure overnight, but it also has the added attraction of a Logistics and Distribution security specialist that brings further capability and depth of expertise to the service we can offer."
As well as its core Manned Guarding services, Chargecrest Security also delivers complementary services including Community Safety Officers, front of house/reception teams, post room services, Keyholding and mobile patrols. Additionally, through its electronic Security business, Chargecrest is able to offer a wide range of electronic security systems along with a remote monitoring service to effectively deliver tailored security solutions to its customers.
