(15/09/2009)
Lynx Technologies has announced the release of VECTA ACS 5.2, a package for access and alarm monitoring systems, as well video surveillance and building automation. This release comes with new Integra driver to support Satel alarm and fire monitoring hardware, new Global Anti-PassBack service, improved Security Management Driver, support of Firebird 2.1 and many other optimizations, enhancements and improvements.
This VECTA ACS release expands supported hardware list and brings new alarm and fire monitoring driver for Satel hardware. Satel is a popular European manufacture of high quality electronic alarm system devices. The product range includes control panels, sirens, detectors, monitoring stations and radio controllers.
New version of VECTA ACS supports all alarm control panels of INTEGRA series and all possible expansion modules. Full list of supported hardware is available on VECTA ACS web-site.
New Global Anti-PassBack (Global APB) service expands APB feature from one access control controller to several controllers. Local controller APB is handled by hardware and Global software APB driver links up these local APBs. Solution is designed for APOLLO controllers AAN-100, AAN-32, AIM-4SL, AIM-2SL, AIM-1SL.
Security Management driver was originally released in v5.1. The v5.2 release sufficiently enhances usability and functionality of the driver. The new release improves Identifier/Card diagnostic. For example, warning messages appear in the case of Identifier settings and access controller modes mismatch. To help administrator to check up Identifier settings for all cardholders, advanced group diagnostic is implemented.
Other improvements include full redesign of Graphic Maps module, Person Location monitor, Zone monitor and Firebird 2.1 support. Full list of supported DBMS now contains:
•Interbase 2007
•MS SQL 2005
•Firebird 2.1
This software release sufficiently enhances general software capability. The new version includes: performance and functionality improvements in the following areas: Time & Attendance, Alarm Monitoring modules, launching of Server and Client. Fulfilled optimization speeds up report generation and internal data exchange.
VECTA ACS v5.2 is commercially available. For evaluation purpose, VECTA ACS v5.2 demo version can be downloaded from VECTA ACS web-site.
