XCDi6-530 camera offers dual illumination via infra-red (IR) and white light LEDs

The XCDi6-530 from Xeno is a 530TVL colour/mono camera offering dual illumination via infra-red (IR) and white light LEDs.
The IR LEDs offer coverage of up to 15m allowing the camera to capture high quality monochrome images. The white light LEDs are triggered up to 3m from the camera and illuminate up to 10m, providing the user with clear colour images.
This dual white/IR light illumination has a number of advantages. By switching on, it shows that the area is under surveillance, thereby proving an effective deterrent. It also provides useful lighting for authorised personnel moving through the area. If no further movement is detected, the camera will switch back to discrete, cost-effective IR lighting and monochrome images.
"The dual lighting offered by the XCDi6-530 is unique in its field and makes it ideal for a wide range of applications," says Andrew Pigram, Norbain’s technical director. "It is particularly suited to surveillance of entrance / exit doors and stairwells."
