ioimage prevents theft and vandalism at Volvo, Honda and Jaguar sales and service center in Israel
(05/06/2009)
ioimage's products have been installed to prevent theft and vandalism at the Israeli sales and service center for Volvo, Honda and Jaguar in Rishon Lezion. The 15,000 sqm site on the outskirts of Tel Aviv houses the main sales office, spare parts warehouse and garage.
The new surveillance system is set up to detect intruders 24/7 and to sound an alarm after hours and on weekends. It comprises ioimage intelligent cameras and encoders located in critical indoor and outdoor areas such as the showroom, communications center and main gate. In addition, six garage entrances are equipped with ioimage wide dynamic range IP cameras with built in analytics which monitor traffic flow to keep cars on schedule and control the number of vehicles in the garage at any one time.
The system also includes ioimage’s autonomous Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) tracking capabilities, which provide self-directed, vision-guided tracking to keep a moving target in constant focus, offering numerous identification and information-gathering possibilities.
Due to the performance and reliability of the system, Volvo, Honda and Jaguar have been able to quadruple the size of their premises from 4,000 to 15,000 sqm, while reducing the number of onsite security guards by 40 percent, from ten to six.
“We are extremely pleased with the new surveillance system,” said Shai Berkovitch, Security Officer at Volvo. “It is smart, easy to operate and reliable and we have had very few false alarms. Working with ioimage has also been a very positive experience: We’ve had excellent service and quick response time.”
“Intelligent video is increasingly being adopted by car dealerships as the most efficient way to protect their inventory,” said Fiona Ungar, ioimage Director of Global Marketing. “ioimage provides a scalable and cost-effective solution which requires no special skill set to operate.”
