Zoneloc ensures critical data is kept safe and secure without human intervention
(27/03/2009)
Zoneloc is a new technology that has been developed to ensure that critical and sensitive data is kept safe and secure without human intervention. It has been designed to work across multiple flash formats including compact flash, USB drives, solid state devices, as well as standard hard drives.
This concept ensures that the data memory device can work normally within a defined area, typically 30 feet, of the fixed, or mobile, zone controller. If the memory device is removed from this area then it will commence a fully automatic, with or without external power, total erasure of the data.
This is a low level purge, which can be to military or top secret standards. Flexibility in the system allows users to define how and when this action will take place. You can define the number of warning sounds and varying times intervals so that the user knows that they have strayed from the defined area. The purge can be to remove just the encryption key so the data cannot be recovered easily or full erasure down to top secret.
The mobile version is controlled from a key fob type device locking a memory device or portable computer to the responsible person. Should the device be left in a taxi or train as soon as it is out of the zone control area it will start the erase cycle, no human intervention being required. The fixed zone controller can be locked to multiple devices allowing the same flexibility for each as with the mobile solution.
A panic button is available with both systems should the user decide the data is being compromised and requires instant purging. The ability to define purge and sanitization requirements ensures it will be able to meet the most stringent security requirements including those of the military.
ZoneLoc brings and end to the age of human error and dependency ensuring your data remains secure at all times.
