Zenitel partners with DVTEL to integrate audio and video security
(23/03/2009)
Zenitel has announced the newly developed software integration between its STENTOFON AlphaCom E IP based communication system and DVTEL's Latitude NVMS 5.3 video security management software.
The integration of two IP systems to employ both video and audio monitoring by one central command center or regional command center across multiple sites allows for maximum effectiveness for two crucial elements in any security application: security performance and emergency response.
DVTEL's software provides monitoring of call information from the STENTOFON IP system. When a call is initiated, the associated camera can be queued on the Latitude system, showing location of call and logging all call activity including call requests, calls answered, calls cancelled along with camera/video events with time and date stamping.
The DVTEL Latitude Network Video Management System (NVMS) is a fully scalable enterprise-class media management system. This network based system architecture enables simultaneous live monitoring from multiple stations and is easily configurable for storage both on and off site. The software can be configured to store and view from one to thousands of cameras, and monitor connections across unlimited servers.
Integration between STENTOFON’s AlphaCom E system and DVTEL’s Latitude NVMS 5.3 is accomplished via IP using TCP (Port 61112). The DVTEL Latitude acts as the client while the STENTOFON AlphaCom E system(s) act as a server. AlphaCom E uses a broadcast mode to output data via IP that DVTEL’s Latitude NVMS uses to update information in the system.
“The IP technical advancement of the STENTOFON system offers the tightest integration between these two systems offering the best of audio and video. Having one seamless system from a single provider is certainly an important value to our customer base,” said Dan Rothrock, Vice President OEM Sales. We see the importance of this partnership to allow for more advanced solutions for high-end security applications.”
