BPT Security supplies door entry and access control systems to Clarence Dock
(17/11/2008)
At 1.25 million sq.ft, Clarence Dock is Leeds' largest mixed-use destination, featuring 1,124 apartments, office accommodation and a range of retail and leisure facilities including bars, shops, restaurants, a hotel and a casino.
BPT Security Systems (UK) Ltd has recently completed one of its biggest ever projects: Clarence Dock in Leeds. BPT Security has supplied an extensive range of door entry and access control systems to Southern and Redfern Security Systems for installation throughout Clarence Dock.
BPT's System 200 door entry system integrated with its ImproS2 proximity access control has been installed across several residential blocks to allow ease of access for residents, whilst ensuring security from unauthorised visitors on all external entrance points.
A modular system, System 200 has been installed by Southern and Redfern Security Systems with BPT Lynea YV flat monochrome video monitors in all 646 apartments and Targha digital entry panels on the main entrances and is fed through a BPT concierge system for when residents are out.
The Lynea monitor features superior audio quality and high definition picture image on a 4.5" screen. It comes with a large, easily identifiable button for solenoid door lock release, stair light and all the standard controls you would expect to find.
Targha entry panels are the slimmest on the market at just 28mm deep when surface mounted and have an elegant, attractive design featuring a built-in rain shield, pleasantly amber coloured LED back lighting to ensure visibility and an adjustable camera. Because of the size of the development, Targha digital panels, in a modern aluminium finish, have been used to allow visitors to punch the apartment number into the keypad, as opposed to separate call buttons for all apartments.
The ImproS2, installed by Southern and Redfern Security Systems in several towers, is a stand-alone, passive proximity access control system for single or two door applications. Each controller supports two proximity readers or up to four readers for full anti-passback control of two doors and up to 2,000 tags, making it an ideal system for Clarence Dock.
