Florida State University relies on Comodo SSL technology for data encryption and transmission

Florida State University has been ranked 52nd of the top universities worldwide in the 2008 Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. Florida State University has decided to safeguard its computerized transactions with a secure socket layer (SSL) from Comodo CA Ltd.
Besides scholarly communications, a lot of sensitive information is transmitted in educational files: health, financial, disciplinary, and academic. With ubiquitous computers, users expect to be able to share this information rapidly. At the same time, they expect that the organizations will keep it safe from outside eyes.
Florida State University relies on Comodo SSL technology for encryption and transmission of its data.
"Comodo's digital certificates will help our students, faculty, alumni, and administrators communicate easily and securely," said, Joseph Lazor, FSU's Director of Information Resources Management and Security.
