Intamac partners with WoonVeilig to launch web-based home monitoring system in The Netherlands
(29/10/2008)
Intamac has partnered WoonVeilig in the Netherlands to launch their new broadband home monitoring security products and services. These have been specifically designed to allow home and small business owners to remotely monitor their properties, via the Internet and mobile phone.
The WoonVeilig solution comprises a professional quality DIY wireless home security system with IP camera for video surveillance, complete with the Intamac web based alarm monitoring and messaging services. The system provides wider protection for homeowners by offering alerts via text message, landline telephone and email in the event of fire, flooding and burglary security alarm activations.
Robin Rietveld, CEO at WoonVeilig believes that internet and mobile services offer many new benefits for home owners. “With the help of these new technologies, we can empower our customers to feel more in control of their homes, giving valuable information directly to them and their family, friends & neighbours. The system is very simple to install, and is less than half the cost of other security providers in The Netherlands. We believe this is a revolutionary next step in security products and services.”
Kevin Meagher, CEO at Intamac Systems said, “We are delighted to see WoonVeilig successfully launch their web based home monitoring system in The Netherlands. The new IP home security control hub which we have developed, allows customers to set up and configure their system through a simple online account, accessed via a PC or mobile phone. Bundling this with the Intamac monitoring and messaging service, WoonVeilig has shown that it is possible to offer consumers new levels of service and security protection, exploiting the power of broadband to deliver a step-change in consumer value.”
The WoonVeilig home monitoring service is the first phase of a project that will see the partners offer a range of new services in the Netherlands, including environmental monitoring, care of the elderly, and home automation. As WoonVeilig CEO Robin Rietveld explains: “We are already planning to add exciting new services, growing the proposition beyond just security, and giving our customers the greater levels of protection and peace of mind they seek.”
WoonVeilig is a partner of the NVD Security Group in the Netherlands.
