AppGate Network Security partners with Aqeri for rugged mobile security solution

When customers working in some of the roughest and toughest environments in the world need an end-to-end secure access solution, all elements in the solution need to be strong and dependable.

AppGate Network Security and Aqeri have joined forces to develop a new rugged mobile security solution specifically for customers in the defence and industrial sectors, and rescue services, where personnel need to access mission critical information often whilst working in tough or hazardous environments.

With AppGate working together with Aqeri, and Sun Microsystems hardware with Solaris operating system built into the AppGate security server, customers can be confident of receiving a truly strong solution.

Both companies have their heritage in the Swedish defence industry and now have many customers in that sector. The defence industry sets some of the most wide-reaching and demanding requirements for security solutions and therefore this partnership brings together two rigorously tested and proven technologies.

Built into the solution are all the necessary security elements such as authentication, authorization, encryption, access control, client control, monitoring and reporting to reliably allow secure access to critical information.
