Sunil Sampat Joins WorkLight as VP Sales for North America

WorkLight® Inc. has announced that Sunil Sampat, a 15 year technology industry veteran has joined its team as Vice President, Sales for North America. Mr. Sampat’s appointment to head WorkLight’s North American sales team comes in response to the burgeoning demand for secure Web 2.0 solutions for business. A recent Forrester report estimates that companies will spend $1.2 billion for Enterprise 2.0 solutions in 2009.
“Since the beginning of 2008, we have seen a surge in the demand among companies for secure Web 2.0 technologies to connect with partners, distributors and customers. To meet this need, WorkLight is expanding its market presence,” said Shahar Kaminitz, CEO, WorkLight. “We are proud to have Sunil join the team and grow WorkLight’s North American sales efforts. His expertise and strategic vision will strengthen WorkLight’s position as a leader in this emerging industry.”
Mr. Sampat brings to WorkLight a proven record of leadership, strategic thinking, and top sales performance. He joins the company after leading the top-performing North American sales team at Endeca Inc., an information access software company, as Regional Vice President (East Region Sales). Mr. Sampat holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
