Royal Boon Edam Group Holding introduces the optimal solution to keep burglars out
(08/08/2008)
The global demand for burglar resistant doors in both public and private buildings is growing rapidly. According to police statistics, a burglary takes place every 5-8 minutes every day. Not only does the financial damage amount to millions each year but the psychological effects of intruders have a huge impact on those involved. Insurance companies are increasing their premiums to cover increasing claim costs accordingly.
Royal Boon Edam Group Holding B.V. is offering an approved Class 3 Burglary Resistance package on revolving doors and security access products in accordance with ENV1627 and NEN5096.
The Tourniket is an energy-saving revolving door with an extensive range of options and sizes (1600 – 3800mm diameter) available. The main part of the burglar resistant package for this door consists of a comprehensive night locking system equipped with multiple locking points. In addition, a special bottom guide, reinforced profiles and a modified canopy construction are included to guarantee the integrity of the constructions during burglar attempts.
Another burglar resistant package has been developed for the Circlelock, Boon Edam’s high security portal. This interlocking booth prevents unauthorised entrance to secured areas and features special dead bolt locking of the outer door panel, as well as the reinforced stainless steel bottom guide. This heavy duty burglary resistant construction contributes to an even higher security level than the standard Circlelock already offers.
Both burglar resistant packages include hi-impact resistant, laminated P5A glass panels in compliance with the EN356 standards.
The burglar resistant systems have been developed and tested in compliance with the applicable international standard ENV1627, and are certified by the relevant notified body. The standard specifies requirements and testing methods of burglar resistant constructions for pedestrian doors, windows, facades, grilles and shutters.
Royal Boon Edam Group Holding B.V. has manufacturing and sales subsidiaries in the Netherlands, the USA and China, and sales subsidiaries in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
