New head for Agenda Security Services
(19/08/2008)
Hull-based Agenda Group has appointed Alan Fletcher as Head of the company’s Security Services business. Having moved through the ranks in the Cambridgeshire Constabulary up to the position of Detective Superintendent within the Criminal Investigations Department, Alan moved to the USA where he joined Target, the second largest chain of discount department stores in the country. There he pioneered ‘intelligence led’ investigations, investigated ‘organised’ criminal activity against the company, and trained Asset Protection personnel in mobile surveillance techniques.
After the attacks of 9/11 he was asked to develop a Global Operations and Investigations Unit. His responsibilities included the welfare of all Target personnel in over 50 offices throughout the world, and the security of the company’s international supply chain. He has represented the U.S. Government on matters of supply chain security, was the lead representative of a select group of companies assisting the U.S. Customs with an advanced supply chain security solution, was a member of the World Customs Organization’s Security Task Force, and became recognized as an industry leader in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).
Alan will head-up a team of security professionals at Agenda Security Services. The firm provides specialised pre-employment screening and vetting services, consultancy and training to organisations in the bioscience, research, telecommunications, chemical and general business communities on a whole range of security issues including data security, physical security, personnel security, supply chain security, business continuity, fire, health and safety issues, and more.
