Acumen Corporation has subjected several cameras to extremely cold temperatures below -94ºF (-70ºC). Three cameras were tested Ai-IR59, Ai-DC75, and Ai-BU45S.

To make this test particularly clean the cameras were “frozen” first with the help of dry ice in disconnected state. Once the desired temperature was reached, the cameras were connected to the power.

The test ran for 2.5 hours. All parameters of the cameras were tested not the least of which was the visual test.

In parallel the cameras were tested on the impermeability of enclosures and the possible appearance of condensate. Ai-IR59 was also tested on its ability to keep the front glass warm under these conditions.

All three cameras have successfully passed impermeability test showing to sings of condensate.

The results of all the tests have demonstrated the ability of Ai’s cameras to work under very extreme conditions well in excess of the recommended norms.
