13 different models of Road Blockers available from Frontier Pitts

Frontier Pitts can now provide up to 13 different models of Road Blockers. Frontier Pitts have two product ranges; the 'Standard Range' and the higher security PAS 68 and K12 crash tested 'Anti Terra Range'.
The Standard Range of Road Blockers starts with the Parking Height Road Blocker, which has a lift height of 353mm. The Security Road Blocker is manufactured with a lift height of 533mm and finally the High Security Road Blocker, which has a lift height of 800mm. All Road Blockers are manufactured to bespoke design with widths of up to 5 metres to suit specific requirements.
Frontier Pitts also manufacture the Surface Mounted Road Blocker, or SMT for short, for sites where ground works are limited. The SMT Road Blocker’s technology means that a concrete foundation of only 150mm depth is needed for the unit to have a 300mm lift.
The range continues with the PAS 68 and K12 crash rated Road Blockers, part of Frontier Pitts Anti Terra range. The Terra Blocker, model ATTB, was successfully crash tested to the American K12 standard, stopping a 7500kg American lorry travelling at 80kph (50mph). The ATTB is available with a lift height of 810mm and bespoke widths up to 5 metres. The ATTB also continued to operate after impact.
The Terra Blocker model ATTBe was successfully crash tested to the British PAS 68:2007 standard, stopping a 7500kg European lorry travelling at 50mph (80kph). The ATTBe is available with a lift height of 1100mm and bespoke widths up to 5 metres.
Finally, to follow Frontier Pitts ‘Standard Range’ of Road Blocker through into the crash tested ‘Anti Terra Range’, the Terra Shallow Blocker, the ATTBs has been successfully crash tested in accordance with the PAS 68:2007 standard. The ATTBs is available with an option of lifted heights; 810mm or 1100mm, although only requires foundation depths of 400mm. Bespoke widths again are offered up to 5 metres. The ATTBs also continued to operate after impact.
Each of the Terra Blocker’s can be further divided into additional sub models to suit the speed ratings, as laid out in the PAS68 standard, required at each individual site.
On specification it needs to be ascertained what speed a potential attack vehicle could reach before striking the site. Although the Terra Blockers have all been crash tested in accordance to the highest category rating of PAS 68:2007, Frontier Pitts will manufacture the Terra Blocker to suit the highest category rating speeds - 50mph (80kph), 40mph (65kph) and 30mph (50kph).
All Road Blocker models are entirely designed and built in Britain to the most stringent international standards.
