Advancements in capability and reductions in pricing have dramatically increased the incorporation of marine and ground-based radar systems into perimeter, coastal, and border security applications. While these radar systems can effectively detect and locate potential threats, such solutions don’t allow security operators to visually inspect objects that have triggered an alarm.

To address this shortcoming, Vumii has introduced a software module that enables communication between radar systems and its Discoverii day/night laser camera platform. Such a solution detects threats dynamically, delivering exact location information relative to radar position or GPS coordinates that rapidly prepare the integrated Discoverii system to assess the detected threat.
