GSR Summit 2008 sets the scene for effective disaster planning

In recognition of today’s changing security landscape, the Global Security & Resilience Summit 2008 will discuss effective resilience strategies for critical utilities, mass transportation systems, public health and much more.
Taking place on the 15th-17th September at the Pro Maritim Arte in Berlin, Germany, this conference and networking event will bring together the world’s ministries, army and other key personnel responsible for the safety and security of human and physical assets. The current line-up of delegates and speakers is already a positive indication that effective multi-agency responses can be effectively explored as part of the event agenda.
Key speakers include Lt General Russel Honore, Former Commander of Joint Task Force Katrina for the US Army, Superintendent Brett Lovegrove, Head of Counter Terrorism for City of London Police UK and Andy Blackwell, Director of Aviation Security for Virgin Atlantic USA. Topics to be discussed include flood defence and recovery, NATO strategies for cyber attack and resilience to terrorism in Europe.
