DSS acquires Homelink Technologies and Midlands Security Systems

Peter Swain, the Company owner and Managing Director of Defence Security Systems Ltd (DSS), has announced that he has acquired Homelink Technologies, a security business from British Telecom PLC and Midlands Security Systems (MSS) a security installer based in Littleover, Derbyshire.
Homelink Technologies provide ‘Safehome’ installation and maintenance of alarms for a number of Local Authority housing regeneration projects in the Midlands and North. MSS has over 3000 customers in the East Midlands and will continue to operate from their current offices.
Peter Swain said: “The aqusition of these well established quality companies strengthens the DSS portfolio and contract base whilst also providing new regional centres. They are an important part of our growth strategy and expansion across the UK”
The purchases were supported by HSBC Bank and their Senior Commercial Manager, Neil Mullett, commented, “ HSBC are delighted to have been supporting Defence Security Systems Ltd in their acquisitions. We are confident that they will continue to develop in this key business sector.”
With these two acquisitions, DSS have added to their existing 5000 + customer base. DSS provide asset protection to major High St retailers, hospitals, public buildings and commercial properties throughout the UK.
