Customer list access protection service places fictitious customer information within your data to track where it goes
(18/02/2008)
Although it doesn’t stop the information from being taken, most customer data is freely available to inside personnel and the next level of protection is tracking where it goes. Keeping customer data from leaving facilities is almost impossible. The next step is to put tracking information within.
There’s a new service out there for protecting your customer information. SecureMyList® is a customer list access protection service that places fictitious customer information within your data. Whenever someone uses the list for solicitation outside of your stated parameters, you receive notification.
Darren Valukis is the developer behind SecureMyList. With over 15 years in Corporate Information Technology, Darren likes to re-scale solutions that were only available to large companies. “We always put fictitious data in our databases, it was a way to track where that data ended up.”
SecureMyList offers the service to small businesses and large corporate customers. Their service applies to electronic data and paper data alike.
