Bosch Security's Digital Congress Network installed in Equatorial Guinea National Parliament building
(08/01/2008)
The National Parliament building in Bata the capital city of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, has been provided with a Digital Congress Network (DCN) Next Generation conferencing system from Bosch Security Systems. Installed in March 2006, this is the National Parliament’s first conferencing system.
It was selected and implemented by Bosch’s engineering partner Ratti Renato, based in Milan, Italy, a company specialized in the installation of conferencing systems. The main contractor who has supplied the conference system, the audio and video systems and the furniture, was an Italian company belonging to ERRESSE INVEST GROUP.
The main criteria on which the decision was made in choosing the DCN system were ergonomic design, total control through a central PC and high-quality speech intelligibility. Added to these features were Bosch’s proven product reliability and superior after-sales service support.
Bosch’s DCN Next Generation system brings the benefits of innovative digital technology to discussion, conference and congress systems. Digital signal processing and transmission via a simple network system not only enable superior audio quality, but also simplify operation and installation. The control system can be configured for PC or operator-free use.
DCN Next Generation provides flexible management facilities for all types of conferences, from small, informal gatherings to international, multi-lingual congresses. It is the first entirely digital system of its kind, and offers versatility, high audio quality with 20 kHz audio bandwidth and data transmission security while providing complete control over conference proceedings.
The National Parliament DCN system includes 225 Discussion Units in Bosch’s flush-mount version that allows easy ‘click-to-fit’ installation and choice of functional panels that can be customized according to requirements. The specification also includes voting facilities, channel selection, camera control and simultaneous interpretation of Spanish, French and English.
The entire system was installed within two week without disruption of meetings.
