Linden Specialist Vehicles introduces covert surveillance vehicle solutions
(07/01/2008)
Linden Specialist Vehicles has introduced a new service that will significantly reduce the cost of mounting covert surveillance operations in a wide range of environments. It provides rapid access, on a daily rental basis, to vehicles equipped with the latest surveillance technology including cameras, digital transmission links and DVRs enabling unmanned monitoring operations to be deployed at short notice across the UK. Alternatively, Linden can fit out customers’ own vehicles with specific surveillance technology to meet any requirement.
These specialist vehicles can be rapidly deployed to provide unmanned monitoring in any location. They are equipped with multiple PTZ pinhole cameras that have been concealed in a wide range of undetectable locations including wing mirrors, inside headlight units, within baby seats and headrests to name just a few.
Evidential quality images can be transmitted over COFDM links to remote locations up to ten kilometres away. Deployment is a quick and easy process as line of sight is not required making transmissions immune to the effects of multipath interference. Alternatively, using GSM transmission, images can be viewed at any location throughout the world 24 hours a day. This battery powered solution provides up to seven days of unattended recording and transmission.
According to Linden Specialist Vehicles: “This new service will significantly reduce the risk to personnel engaged surveillance operations as well as delivering significant cost savings. Vehicles can be provided at short notice on a rental basis for unmanned surveillance applications in a wide range of environments.”
