JVC introduces TK-C686 Series True Day and Night PTZ dome cameras
(11/12/2007)
JVC has introduced two models to their TK-C686 Series PTZ dome cameras: the indoor dome camera (TK-C686E) and JVC’s first IP66 rated dome camera with outdoor housing (TK-C686WPE).
The cameras incorporate a Direct Drive Motor to precisely operate its pan and tilt mechanism. This feature ensures the ultimate in accuracy in long-term preset positioning and with an accuracy of 0.01 degrees, it far outshines the more conventional belt-type of motor drives. Due to the Direct Drive Motor the cameras are operated completely silently, essential for use in public domains such as hospitals, museums and other quiet environments.
Both TK-C686 Series cameras have a powerful 36x optical zoom lens designed for the most demanding of applications and the Super LoLux™ technology makes the cameras ideal for operations running 24/7 including night time monitoring. An active gamma function provides wide-dynamic range to enhance any backlit images. The cameras also incorporate an IR cut-off filter removal function which effectively increases sensitivity in very low light conditions making this camera a true Day and Night camera.
An image stabiliser function ensures that operators can view and record images with perfect clarity. The cameras come with up to 100 presets and come with extremely fast pan and tilt speeds to quickly trace objects (500 degrees per second) as well as the lowest and smoothest pan and tilt speeds (0.04 degrees per second) for enhanced manual operation and observation of the image subject.
The TK-C686 Series PTZ Day & Night cameras also incorporate intelligent features such as motion detection, auto-tracking, and privacy masking. For easy installation and maintenance, each camera has one-touch lock and release mechanism.
