IIPSEC 2008 has announced six Technical Sessions delivered by leading experts, including 'Unlocking the true potential of Megapixel Technology'.

This seminar looks into the latest developments in Megapixel Technology. Starting with a review of compression techniques the session looks into the operational requirements of the technology and how to determine how much resolution is required for each camera and how to choose the optimum lens. The use of Google maps as a useful tool for determining outdoor camera placement will also be shown. Delivered by leading experts in the field, this seminar is a recommended for Security Integrators and Consultants.

The 2 hour session will cover the following areas:
* Understanding compression techniques
* Best practice in deploying Megapixel cameras
* Understanding the variables that effect performance
* The value of application software
* Utilising analytics and intelligent technology developments

Another session will cover IP as an essential enabling technology in the application of BS8418 – the British Standard for detector-activated, remotely monitored CCTV. It will include case studies of BS 8418 in application and the latest industry statistics.
