Biohazard spill kits reduce response times to bio-spillages
(13/11/2007)
GreenValet has announced a range of biohazard spill kits designed to meet the needs of the security industry, police, prison and court services in the UK. Biohazard spill kits are used for emergency cleaning of spillages such as vomit, blood and urine. They have been proven to significantly reduce response times to bio-spillages, to prevent infections and to reduce risk to staff and the public.
Sealed spill kits ensure that specialised equipment and materials required for effective cleaning of bio-spillages are kept together. Biohazard spill kits are used at locations and times when professional cleaning staff and equipment are not available. They ensure working environments including vehicles are rapidly cleaned and disinfected and enable staff to continue working safely with minimum disruption. Kits include disposable personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, specialised absorption and infection control agents and sealable waste bags to enable rapid, safe clean up, storage and disposal of bio-spillages.
Green Valet's new security industry biohazard spill kits are available in lightweight, portable, secure, high-visibility, cases. Each case contains equipment and materials for dealing with up to six individual spillages. Cases are wall mountable, making them suitable for placement in high risk areas such as waiting rooms and reception areas.
Bulk supplies of individual spill packs are also available for in-vehicle storage and use. Two types of pack are available, for dealing with blood spills and for use with vomit, urine and other bodily fluids. Full instructions are included and refills are available.
Green Valet are the main supplier of biohazard spill kits to the NHS. They are widely used in hospitals throughout the UK and in Europe.
